Sometimes when I’m tired of my monitor’s desktop I whip up a corny motivational poster to replace it. This time the advice comes from Design Observer and 37 Signals. I’m at a pivitol time here in SF, and I need to make the most of it. I’m shaking things up a bit. I recently accepted a new job (more later) and my semester here is half way over. Here’s to bigger and better things.

I would add to this mix another thought– appearance. I don’t have a catchy way of phrasing this, but I am learning that appearance and how you present yourself is really important. True, ultimately if you have no substance beyond the appearance then you’ve got a vacuous situation on your hands… but still, how people perceive you in the professional world in particular is very very important.
